We are a small friendly society which aims to encourage interest in plants and gardens. Our members range from beginners to seasoned gardeners and bring a range of skills, experience and expertise. All are welcome and we enjoy sharing our horticultural experiences. Read more

  • Seed catalogues with an excellent discount
  • Annual Plant Sale with quality plants at reasonable prices
  • Access to RHS Advisory Service
  • Intersociety Lecture where we join members of other local Gardening Societies

To help protect members we have cancelled some meetings from our programme and others are under review.

CANCELLED Saturday 21st March, 2.30pm at Wylam Institute: Annual Inter-Society Lecture Pippa Greenwood - My Life in Gardening
Tickets will be refunded. Pippa has offered to do the talk at some time in the future.

CANCELLED Tuesday 21st April: Karen Phillips - Increase and Multiply
Karen, from the Linnels, Hexham, will be giving a detailed talk on all plant propagation methods.

CANCELLED Tuesday 19th May: Pat Hodgson - Creating a garden in Stocksfield and opening under the NGS scheme

CANCELLED Saturday 23rd May, 10.30am: Annual Plant Sale
Lots of herbaceous perennials, shrubs, vegetables, herbs and house plants grown by our members.
