Stocksfield Plants & Gardens Society


We are a small friendly society which aims to encourage interest in plants and gardens. Our members range from beginners to seasoned gardeners and bring a range of skills, experience and expertise. All are welcome and we enjoy sharing our horticultural experiences. Read more

  • Visits to local gardens and coach visits to gardens further afield

  • Seed catalogues with an excellent discount
  • Annual Plant Sale with quality plants at reasonable prices
  • Access to RHS Advisory Service
  • Intersociety Lecture where we join members of other local Gardening Societies

Sunday 24th June 10.30am-5pm: Wylam Garden Walk
Members may be interested in this charity event. 13 village gardens to wander around, morning coffee, cream teas, raffle and plant stall. Tickets available in Wylam Memorial car park.

Sunday 8th July: Coach visit to levens Hall
Coach will leave Stocksfield station at 8.45am returning to Stocksfield at about 6.15pm. 


Thursday 25th October: Coach visit to Harlow Carr

Friday 26th October: Practical workshop - Dave Scott - Pruning Small Trees and Large Shrubs
Dave is a lecturer in horticulture at Houghall East Durham Collage. Cost £15. Spaces still available. See Programme for further details.
